Had a couple of victories today: 1) I fit into a 2X top 2) I left my food unfinished at the restaurant and explained to the waitress why I wasn't interested in boxing it up. The corned beef was sliced and the fat and connective tissue made it difficult to bite through and chew. She said they used to shred the corned beef and since they started slicing it, lots of people are sending it back. I had eaten half of it and didn't expect a refund, but she took it off the bill anyway. I just didn't want to spend my calories on that. Not only was the corned beef wrong, but I could not taste any tanginess from the saurkraut. I adjusted my food log and planned a dinner including kraut ❤️ I will try a new restaurant next week and continue my quest for a great reuben 🤗

Kind of disappointing. I pictured you today having something you really love. I no longer waste calories on stuff I don't like either.

😥 plus it gave me indigestion - a hazard when trying new foods or restaurants and one more good reason to cook at home

And that is why I seldom eat in restaurants unless I have to.. I like my own cooking much better most of the time.

So proud Lady D, we came from a generation that taught us not to waste food, even poorly made food, so it is definitely an NSV to not only not finish the food, but to not pack it up and take it home. Congrats on the dropping a size! I have not tried different sizes of clothes yet because well, I like my tops big and loose to start with and they are all like that, they are bigger and looser now 😁 I can fit into my non-stretchy size 20 uniform pants...but because I don't like rigid material I don't wear them. I love all the stretch jeans and slacks because they make living with an ostomy a little easier, so I won't be changing out pants till the ones I have won't stay up on me LOLOLOL!

There are lots of foods I can't make at home, so I go out for those. Refried beans, for example, are a favorite that a) hubs won't eat and b) I have failed at more than once 🤣 Deb, my pants are getting there, but I think I have 15 lb left in them 🤔 Am picking up the fasting torch tonight and going 5 days, so we will both be fasting Thurs & Fri this week 🙂🤟

I was contemplating a longer one, but I think I'm gonna give myself another week of normal fasting before I embark on a 5 day or 7 day, I'm waffling on the EF length, but I am feeling pretty good, so next week I will decide!

I'd stick w 72s for a bit. IMO 120h is more stress than your post covid body needs.

Yeah, probably should allow myself a full month back on my normal fasts before I start pushing the envelope for an EF, this is only my 2nd one since the restart.

Lady D, I was contemplating switching my fasting days to Sunday evening through Thursday morning, I have reached a status quo for breaking fast and no longer have the refeed issues I had in the beginning, so no need to wait to Sunday to break my fast, then we will be on kinda the same schedule!
