I am enjoying feeling in control again. I feel comfort in knowing I am on the right track now and although the weight will not fall off over night.....I am going in the right direction.......
I am also enjoying all the fresh fruit and veg on offer this time of year. I think a lot of people get put of with all the cutting involved when preparing fruit and veg. I was always avoiding sweet potatoes because they are such a pain to cut up. I then bought a veg slicer from Lakeland and the blades exploded when I tried to put a sweet potato through it...you would think for £22 pounds it would cut them...they gave me my money back without even a quibble.
I then searched for vintage cutters (we know they made stuff better then....), but then thought I might try a new knife. I bought a good quality santoku knife and wow...cutting sweet potato is like cutting cucumber - what a difference.
