Stress. Stress from my job is making me feel fat. I get it that we have some amount of pain that comes from it. It’s a necessary evil. But at the same time I’m stressed out and still on the mend feeling awful and lost. It’s funny to me how a place I’ve spent going on 5 years at feels distant and foreign.
I believe you should love what you do—this stress is making me feel fat.
I’m pondering...and it’s becoming clear what’s occurring and what I need to do. Sorry to be cryptic. It’s very is heartbreaking to me about what transpired. But with health and stress it’s not a good combo. I need to get to feeling too about my health and focus on my nephew.

You are right,I have no idea what you are talking about. That being said, I fail to see (with the information I have) how the stress you are feeling at work makes you feel fat unless you are being bullied. So what if you change jobs— will the stress of the new job also somehow translate into making you feel fat. You ain’t gettin away from stress— ever. You might considerer dealing with the real issue of how you cope with stress which seems to somehow transform into a negative self imagine— fat.

Sometimes the folks with whom we have to work can be toxic. Making a change can be difficult. Staying or going is a decision you will need to make and in so doing, I hope you will be able to resolve this feeling of 'fat" that comes as a stress reaction. Take a deep breath; you will make the correct choice. (((((hugs)))))

You have worked hard and achieved great success. Now you need to take stock of where you are and where to develop further.

It is necessary to make a regimen, a good dream. It is necessary to completely abandon alcohol and even beer. Start practicing your health, sports or go to the gym. good luck to you.

Love ya guys!! Sorry was dark and broody. I agree with all of you. Change is never easy but I have in the past—all of us collectively here are making changes. It’s important. I can’t be in a toxic place.

Change your job if it's what is causing you stress. Although as for me nothing causes me more anxiety and stress than a new job. 😐

I have a lot of stress at my job also. It doesn't make me feel fat but I do tend to eat more when I am stressed out.

You will NEVER get away from stress. Period. As you go through life you trade one stress for another. It is crucial that you learn healthier mechanisms for dealing with it. I don’t care if your job involves saving lives or handing out lattes at Starbucks, you will have some version of your perceived stress. . If you are a stress eater— well what is the implication for your future weight control issues.

What to you mean it makes you *feel* fat? vs. actually getting fat?

Stress is never good in any job. You need to find a quiet space during the day, to take a breath and relax.
