Nothing makes you something. You are not your past. You are not your future. You are right now. You won't win fighting it. You won't win hiding from it. You won't win burying it. Whatever you are feeling, Feel it, Love yourself, Forgive yourself. Your could have easily said to yourself, "I needed a break, my body needed a break" rather than looking a little over indulgence as a failure.

Sharon, you are loved! Every one of your comments means that someone took the time to click on it and read what you had to say or what others had to say to you. Some of us who follow you get notified of EVERYTHING everyone says, and we read them all! I KNOW you can do this, because you've done it before. You have great strength within you. I think hitting the gym will help you tremendously! Hope you have a great workout tonight!

weight will fluctuate honey. that's the one thing I've learned on this journey. I woke up yesterday at 259, instead of 255. Its water weight. I'm sure in a couple of days you'll see a drop again.

Sharon, having a plan is a good move away from where you've been. Food prep and gym bag ready sends the message to yourself that you are worth the effort. Continue to be good to yourself. ❤

You did this the past few weeks. It’s June 3rd. Time to get your happy back and I’m going to give you motivation. I’m here post op total hysterectomy on steroids due to near post op pneumonia and can’t really do anything but WOE. I’m still loosing. Yea it’s slow but I packed pounds on before with steroids. No more whining. Everyone has their story and baby girl you have know idea. Let’s go. 7/3/19 we’re weighing in officially. The stare down. You win... that’s all I want. I have 3 kids, one we’re putting through college and also paid to get her CNA to get a real feel of what it takes to help people.... really care, to listen to them. CNA’s bust ass helping those who cannot clean themselves. Her father threatened to put a paper bag over her head because of child support over 19 years ago. I got custody at the age of 19 with a lawyer I paid for. Life is about helping people but you need the tools to be strong. Our middle is great school wise but over weight and has been loosing since we changed the way we eat plus 🧬 it is a balance. You’re sister hurt your feelings multiple times since you started loosing weight. My sister has been unloving her whole life I have good memories on one hand and it’s sad. We shared our last pregnancy but we didn’t. She isn’t a hugger or emotional. Now she is hooked on crack. We’re raising my nieces and nephew. You worry about boys. You will find someone worth your time when you believe in yourself. I’m in school for my RN after being an MA for 19 years. I lost my daddy to cancer in less than 6 months. He lived a state away and I saw him every weekend. Watching a parent die young... that’s worth whining about. I like my beer. I won’t let it ruin myself or my children and new children. My daughters “ father, sperm donor beat me every single day and I would lie about the bruises. I stopped lying when I gave birth to my first. My mother has been to the psych ward multiple times and got worse when my dad was diagnosed. I felt like a freakin orphan trying to manage it all. Life is us, life is more than us. You choose how you want to live it. You’re young but walk a day ...... we all have our stories to tell. Someone here has it WORSE than what I just said and I don’t have time to say it all because understanding is good but a full on pitty party for someone ( and I don’t know your story other than what you share which is very emotional) you just need to get it together) who was an inspiration to us all. We all have a story. Only us individually can change things for the better. 4 pound loss is reasonable by 7/3/19. You have the advantage over me.

Jcmama— you are right. All of us here have a story. Everyone in the world has a story of some kind. After reading yours, I will move mine down even one more notch on the totem pole. Bless all your efforts. From one nurse to an aspiring nurse— you will a great addition to our profession.

@Jcmama...100..."Life is about helping people but you need the tools to be strong."...and "I don’t have time to say it all..." nor the luxury for pity parties.

@Sharon's Victory understand you do have the victory. Yes we all have a story but we can not compare stories @Jcmama. 90% of people have been in a crisis or in one. It does matter how we deal with situations and self esteem as to whether or not we get past them. @Sharon's Victory please understand your weight WILL NOT CAN NOT make you happy. Joy comes from the inside. It's actually a choice. Having to walk away from a career I loved years ago for medical reasons advised by my doctor could've hurt me but instead I saw it as an opportunity for a new adventure. Loosing both parents could've destroyed me but I see them as having no more pain, worries, or struggles. Yes we've all suffered those were the easiest things but still what's debilitating to one isn't to another is not about being strong, mature, or even more loving. It's all about choices and choosing to learn and grow from each set back while celebrating each success and the adventure God has before us. It's also not about comparing because that actually beats us up more thinking why can't we be like them etc. I understand why you put your hurts here is because it's a safe place to do it without being attacked and judged. That's why many of us I'm sure even use this forum. Be encouraged Sharon because you really do have the victory if you just allow yourself to have it.

Decide to be happy! It is that simple. You made up your mind to lose weight, now make up your mind, no matter what to be happy! When you read all the stories of people around you here on FS, you can see it for yourself, this is their choice. Good luck girl!

Depression and weight gain go together for me. Gluten affects my brain and makes me crazy, sad and blue. Get your eating and exercising together and you will feel happier, because happiness is more physiological than psychological. Take good care of your body and your brain will thank you. BTW there's a lot of gluten in beer. Try going gluten free; you just might be one of the gluten sensitive ones.
