Maintenance Calorie Trajectory ---> Week 26 --> Wearing Size 6 Gaps ---> Still recovering from flu Edition

Well, here we are at week 26 in maintenance and I'm still alive after having my a$$ and lungs kicked by this bug, which I'm just assuming is the flu, because everybody and their mother (and, now mine) is getting their butt kicked by it too. All this being stated after I just knocked back my shot of mucinex cough medicine for the night.

I wasn't able to get in a full 1900 plus cals tonight as I hoped, but 1776 cals is not to shabby. And, I did hit my goal of 1686 cals or there about, yesterday. This is not a time to force feed. This is not a "stomach bug", but we all know how congestion and a deep cough can screw with an appetite. Nobody wants to be full with food in lieu of a deep cough.

On the flip side, on Friday I went on a bit of a online shopping spree. Mama convinced to get some tank tops from kohls. I've always been a bit self conscious about my arms because they're big. And, though they've leaned out with some nice muscle tone from the weights and strength training, there's a fair amount of loose skin. But, I tried on some of my sister in-laws tankini's and ya know - I didn't look so bad. Either that, or I'm just not caring as much - lol.

On a lark, I also decided to try on on those Gap jeans, Size 6 petites I accidentally ordered a few weeks ago. I had meant to get a size 29, which is a size 8. But, I accidentally clicked the size 28's. I was really disappointed too, because I had been looking forward to wearing this style. It was my first pair of high rise jeans. And, their jeans tend to run small anyway, at least on me.

Mama said "...just hold on to them honey and be patient. You'll see..."

Well, Friday - I tried them on again and sure enough they fit perty good and felt very comfy. In fact, I was able to sit Indian style in them on the living room floor and not feel constricted in any way, and no issues zipping. That's a deal breaker for me. If i have to suck it in, sport a muffin top, or the zipper moves sideways when I zip up a jean - the pants are considered to dang tight and either need to be exchanged or put aside until they can be worn.

I'm done feeling uncomfortable in the name of fashion. At 45 - I'm too old for that nonsense!

Anyhow, I'm glad I listened to Mom - all things considered this week was definitely rough - but those size 6's are nice compensation. Not to mention, a good "why" to keep stashed in my back pocket :-)

Have a beautiful, blessed, and HEALTHY week y'all - {{BIG BIG HUGS}}
