Maintenance Calorie Trajectory ---> Week 20 --> 5 month anniversary!
Alright folks, it's that time of the week again. Below is the weekly calorie forecast :-) It is also my 5 month maintenance anniversary. As a little present to myself, I purchased those 5 lb ankle weights to use for my hip abductor exercises. I was using 3 lbs., it was time to graduate! It's essential to celebrate these little anniversaries. As my coach has stated often, maintenance isn't sexy or exciting.
It's important to set up goals for oneself when one hits maintenance. They can be fitness oriented, travel, or some other fun venture one has always wanted to do, but held back because they felt impeded by excess weight. Health conscious Anniversaries are important. Heck knows we have an anniversary for every other event in our lives, it's only appropriate our health get's celebrated, too :-) This is ongoing hard work, and the incentives need to reverberate beyond the number on the scale and leave an indelible reminder of why we are doing this to begin with.
On that note - I'll leave you all with the "why" questions of the day I answered in the half size me community.

How is this showing honor for all life? It makes me understand that all sentient beings are striving and compelled to enjoy life to the greatest measure of their health and vitality. This vitality for “being” alive in whatever form is indeed what connects everything. Everything around us stands to “be” an instrument of love and represents life’s beautiful longing for itself.
