Transition into Maintenance Calories ---> Week 3 trajectory (Edit: the below says week 4, but is actually week 3)
I'm just finishing up on Week 2 of my transition into maintenance calories. I don't know if I'll see another loss until tomorrow's weigh in. If I don't, I will hold steady for another week and work within last weeks trajectory. If however, I do see a loss, the calories below will be my new target and I will be increasing another 29 cals/day.
It's going well. This week my mind felt a little less frantic about it all as I begin to settle into the process. I have now officially split up the strength training routine. And, all exercises with weights and arms have been moved over to cardio day. I'm now only doing 30 minutes of cardio on the recumbent bike and am doing 3 of those intervals at level 16 (for the record, there are only 19 levels on the bike).
Resistance and leg exercises remain on a separate day. And, of course yoga is couched in between to give these muscles some sanity! LOL.
I continue to get in NEAT exercise as much as I can and take about 3 different walks during the day at work. I've been able to get my daily step count up to 12,000 steps a day. But, as the weather gets severe - I know I'll need to revert back to getting those steps in by doing circuits around the house. I did this last winter as well.
Friday night was kinda cool. I snuck into my mother's closet last night and tried on 2 pairs of her size 8 jeans. The relaxed fit pair were perfect with some room to spare. The levi's were tight, but I was able to get them on and zip them up! Approximately, another 3 lbs less and those will fit okay too. Sooo, I skid-addled onto Old Navy and bought myself 2 pairs of their skinny jeans in size 8! I'm petitioning the universe I will be able to wear them at some point. Since I've still been losing and keeping my transition slow and gradual with a 2% increase/week, it felt okay to purchase the size 8's as the size 10's are already starting to get a bit loose fitting. I do feel okay about going between those 2 sizes.
Anyhow, have a blessed Sunday everyone!
