So my weight is dropping back down even though my carbs have been up lately.
I've been trying to keep it at 20 net carbs for a very very very long time...which is helpful but recently since I seem to still lose with higher carbs I'm thinking of letting my carbs be around 50 once and awhile (2 corn tortillas or fruit once in awhile?)
With me it can be a slippery slope so I need to careful but I think I might try it a little the next few weeks and see if I still lose...
I've noticed there are "trigger" foods for me...foods that bring out my "sugar gremlin" and I go crazy and gorge on them if I even start eating them...years of dieting have brought it to my attention...things like any type of cake/sweet dessert I can never have or white bread. But corn tortillas are fine for me for some reason...I'm perfectly happy having only 1 or 2 and don't feel the need to gorge on them. I'm not quite sure about fruit yet...I think I might need to stick to berries and cantaloupe...I think I over eat pineapple if I get started
This is me trying to do phase 2 of Atkins!

not everyone does well on a strict keto diet, nothing wrong with changing your plan to include things that help with your body needs. lower carbs and reasonable calorie intake to promote weight lose is a good plan.

I would have never found what works for me if I did not keep experimenting.

Tortillas don't make me go crazy either but white bread does, any bread for that matter. I've been at 20 carbs too for a while but will have a tortilla occasionally and let my carbs go up to 35 or 40. Living in Mexico tortillas are everywhere. I bought some giant jicama Thursday to see if I can make thin jicama tortillas. Wheat is my big enemy so I avoid it, but I don't really like the taste of corn tortillas nor the smell of the warm corn masa.

one of the good things about being on the same diet and learning your body is to be able to test other types of food to introduce into the diet. Long term you will eventually be adding more to better enjoy. your life Knowing what triggers you have is a big thing. Enjoy adding some of these missing foods. the good thing about the food logging is if you have a trigger event you can keep track and know you need to eliminate that one.
