Tea Cake

Everyone deserves a little treat with their morning or afternoon tea, and this moist tea cake does the job beautifully.

Ingredients

Directions

  1. Heat milk until it’s lukewarm, add yeast and set aside for 10 minutes.
  2. Mix all ingredients in a kitchen machine or knead from hand until it’s a smooth kind of tacky dough. Set aside to rest until visibly doubled.
  3. Cut into 8 equal pieces, roll them and set aside on two greased baking tins for another hour.
  4. Bake at 180 C for 15 minutes.
