heidij123's Journal, 17 Oct 16

Pleased to have made some progress this week. I was a bit short on exercise, though, and there's no excuse for that, just laziness! But I have a plan, which is to join Mike when he goes out to hit some tennis balls against a wall sometimes. I think I get bored with walking, and doing something different once or twice a week will help. I'd like to get back into line dancing again too, but we always seem to be doing something else on Thursday evenings at the moment. I'll have to make it a priority.

Well done, all adds to the total. I too am finding my exercise a little tedious. I must try to find something else. I love to swim but I'm still a little self conscious in a bikini. Line dancing sounds fun, maybe I'll find a swing class or something and find out just how unfit I actually am!

This is great. Love to go dancing. Hubby and I had a go at the jive again at our club. His trousers kept slipping as he has lodt weight due to his illness this year. But he did try.

Yes, there are a lot of ways to exercise. StrangeTrout, I haven't worn a bikini for many years, but swimsuits are fine for swimming and not so embarrassing!

LOL my goal is a bikini but still a bit flabby around the middle for me to feel good in one. Heidi, change up your exercise a bit so you don't get bored. Hitting tennis balls is rather fun-- wish I knew someone as bad as I am to play tennis with. I have a tennis court behind my house in the park. I love my "TRX" type trainer but I like to mix it up with weights, kettle balls, hula hoop, and the gym. I've also been lax and wish that my work schedule would settle down so I can plan better. Would love to swim but no pool avail at this point.

Just back from a 1.5 hour walk with my hubby, Mike. I will try and do some different kinds of activity. I could actually look out some line-dance routines online. I already have some bookmarked, and it would be good revision, as I haven't been to any classes since April. Plus I have some DVDs I could do. I am having a push to lose weight in the next few weeks. It does make sense to increase the exercise. Thanks for geeing me up 😀

Bodyfit by Amy is another good source on youtube I use her TRX and kettleball but she has lots of others as well. I like how she gives adaptions for easier or harder. Bet you had a nice walk the photos you have posted of your area in Spain are beautiful!! Hiedi, what ever you do have fun with it.
