Trying to cheer myself up by posting weight! It's been the same for 4 days now, so I guess that's valid.

Went for an annual blood test this morning, and I'm not good at those. I don't like needles, nurses can't find my veins, and when they do eventually get the needle in, I'm a really slow bleeder. So off I went this morning, saw a nurse I haven't seen before. She prodded around for a bit, stopped, started again, and eventually got the needle in, but then I got this horrible pain down my arm and intense tingling in my hand, and involuntarily sat up suddenly (I have to lie down or I pass out). So she had to take the needle out again, and I couldn't let her try again, ugh, it was horrible. So I have to go back in 10 days time, and do it all again. The up side is, she told me I don't really need to do it fasting, and she thinks that fasting is making it all worse for me - I'm sure she's right.

Went to a nearby cafe after for beans on toast and some tea, then to the supermarket, and have just eaten a Belgian bun. Starting to feel reasonable again now.

Ugh! I have that problem as well with drawing blood, I'm so sorry you went thru that. At least the cafe sounded nicely restorative! I remember once, years ago - they took it out of the top of my HAND instead of the elbow because they were just not able to hit the vein otherwise. Blegh.

I am the same. I always end up coming home full of holes and covered in bruises. They don't like to use the back of the hand in case you suddenly need emergency surgery and they have to put in a cannula. I had three when I was in hospital. Took a month for the bruises to go!

I have had blood taken out of my hand before too. I thought she might suggest that today. Sorry to hear you both suggest from the same thing. Still, there are much worse things to go through. I think she went for the wrong vein, though, the plaster isn't in the usual place!
