Weight stayed the same this week. That's okay, as I've been having some thoughts about slowing down my rate of loss anyway. It's now five weeks till we leave here, and then we'll be travelling back to the UK briefly, and on to the States for nearly four weeks, and Iceland for a week. It would be good to lose a couple of pounds before we go, but there's no point in trying too hard at the moment. It might be better to learn to maintain anyway, as it would be good if I could do that while travelling!

However I don't think it really matters! Lol. It's most likely that I'll put on a few pounds while I'm away, and when I finally get back home to England in June, it will be the summer, and I'll be keen to lose the holiday weight, and I'll take it from there!

As regards a 'goal' weight, I don't really have one. I've already reached the 'healthy' weight range, and am reasonably happy with how I look. I probably do want to drop another clothing size long-term, but there's no urgency about it. In fact I think slow is good from here on in! That's cool 😎

Slow is definitely the way to go. You didn't put it on overnight so why try to lose it that way. Slow gives the skin time to accommodate the changes.

Slow is good. Did not know you were also going to Iceland and that you were going to be in the States for that long.

Jocko, I am starting to get some wrinkly skin! That's another reason for wanting to slow down. But I think at my age (62) maybe I should expect it anyway? Hubby has some wrinkly bits and has never been overweight.

Jeri, yes, it's a long trip. Once we started looking at what we could do, it was hard to know where to stop. I don't like travelling for much more than a month, though, and there's a limit to what we can spend!

I wish you all the luck for your travels Heidi, sounds like an amazing time to be had. Good thinking on the maintenance, gives you more freedom on what you can eat, but remember to always be mindful, as that is what you will have to be going into the future, I still think 'do I really need this?' when snacking, helps me to do a reality check when filling my face 🍷🍫🍢🍓🍏🍳

Enjoy your travels. Just think of all the extra walking you'll be doing as you visit these places.

I'm hoping to catch up with you, for a few hours or an evening meal, if you are still planning to visit Charleston.

Thanks, all. I will try and remember your advice Lorna! Also with those big meals, will try and remember to leave some, and not order dessert if I've had enough already, lol!
