Great maintenance! I saw wheat germ in the store today and I didn't get it. I will have to try that sometime, because I am not a low carb person, just medium carb. :)

I know your carb % is close to mine much of the time. Wheat germ has lot of vitamins especially B's. Not much fiber, that is in the bran. I bought some nutritional yeast today to up amino acids (that raises the complementary proteins) and adds more B's among other nutrients. I will add a tablespoon to my morning smoothie. I'm working hard to beat SADD syndrome this winter. Bought some 5,000 iu's today, the ones I have equal 10o% o 800iu's. So one of those per day should help those winter blues. Should not have bought the dried cranberries, nibbling on them. So good. I'm not junk food junky but can easily go overboard on things like dried fruit, nuts, toasted seeds. Yum

I prefer nuts and seeds. I usually stay away from dried fruit unless my food log says I can afford a little bit. Whenever I eat raisins, even a little mini box only 45 calories worth, it pushes my sugar column over my 50 gram limit. So I have to eat dried fruit on a day that I don't eat cottage cheese and yogurt, which both have sugar from the lactose in them.

Dried cranberries and peanuts are my downfalls. Not the desserts and chips. I bought some almonds, am trying the a few nuts a day. Had picked up whole hazelnuts for $.99 / lb last week, bought 4 bags (all they had)
