Jeri, I hope you take care of your herbs or plants. Friday night is supposed to be frost or freezing, depending on your location!

Maybe, grins. Fell asleep on the couch last night. Had sat down to have a snack and check a few things on the computer, next thing I knew it was after 8:00, let the dogs in, set up coffee to go off, went to bed. No dinner. Nothing done outside. Thinking I'm really thankful for extra sleep last night. We have baby mom having contractions this am about 10 min apart. SOO not sure what my day will bring. No matter what may run home after work to quick: pull in a few things cut some herbs throw them into a huge ikea bag, and let the dogs out. Then head south to the hospital, it's about 50 miles.

Awww I remember you said baby mom didn't want baby to be born on Halloween...a day of contractions will probably help change her mind! Enjoy your new addition to the family!!

Someone on face book was teasing her about that, she said she'd go with Holloween. She is so ready to have Cheylynn.

LOL wow does your post take me back. I was due the 29th with my youngest and I had promised my firstborn who was 6 at the time that we would trick or treat and that nothing would get in the way of it. SMH I had been dilated at 2 starting the weekend prior going thru to the 29th with lil bitty contractions throughout that day that finally starting building up more on the 30th. By early Halloween morning the contractions were back down to nothing. Dropped daughter off at school with a promise of yes, there was going to be trick or treating and then I went on to work. By 3:30'ish the contractions were going big time lol...told my office I was outtie. My boss laughed and said they would close up and meet us at the hospital. LMAO at the look on his face as I told him to wait til he hears from me because I had promised my daughter trick or treating and it was getting done. Oh lordy...labor the whole night while we walked blocks and blocks of streets to do Halloween for her...but it got done. I kept my promise, she had a blast and when we were done, I went to the hospital and had my son 30 minutes later...just me and my mom because it was a shift change and they couldn't find my nurse and the doctor was in with another mother. LOL good times. Good luck to you both and congratulations on your bundle of joy to be!!

So far, no hospital run.. home, taking a few min break and warming up from racing around as I need to chase the leaves off my porch (slippery), get the couple remaining potted plants hauled in, tomatoes and a pepper or two picked, and some herbs cut before the first freeze tonight. Baby mom and almost 3yo daughter (not related to me) are staying home and handing out candy in costume. She has already been to a couple trunk or treats and with the cold temps. Little one has had numerous health issues including a seizure disorder, so mom doesn't want her traipsing around in the cold. She is a good mom, sorry that my step-grandson is not being a good dad. Proud of my daughter, her DH, and my granddaughter for stepping in and accepting the role as family. That way also, I can be there as great-gramma without any issues. Real great-grandparents are not, at least not at this point. Best put my coveralls on, it's 40 degrees and windy, and go back outside.

Did manage to get the tomatoes and chard picked, my plants in, a ton of mint, lemon balm, and the rest of the lime basil cut. Didn't worry about the beets and carrots they should be fine. Glad I did as heavy frost this am. Love my ugly coveralls, but dang they are too big for me!! 2 years ago I could hardly get them zipped. Guess I'll have to watch the thrift stores for a new pair, these still had tags on them when I bought them, ugly but really warm. I don't care what I look like shoveling snow, or winter fishing with my son-in-law, warm is good!!

Have you been to 1/2 of 1/2 store? Google Half of Half locations. Prices are really low, and some of them are perfect. Some might need a repair or simply need a washing. My husband bought a button down shirt for $3 and the only thing wrong with it was it had somebody's shoe print on it. Apparently it fell off the hanger in the name brand store.

Love 1/2 of 1/2. Most of summer tops were from there. You just have to watch and inspect everything. It's not too far from me. Bought a swimsuit priced @ $160.00 for like $10.00. Tank tops for less than $1.00.
