Nikina70's Journal, 09 Oct 20

Not a great result, but considering I was close to 68kg last week I'll take it.

So this week I did a 40min Full Body Workout and then a 50min Glutes & Abs workout. Will hopefully do a 40min Upper Body one tomorrow. I didn't get to my workout last weekend, but did go for a nice walk along Sea Point Promenade on Sunday afternoon and only had a few sips of hubby's chocolate milkshake instead of the soft serve I was dreaming about (there were long queues, which I used as an excuse not to have one).

Started tracking again on Monday and if I can keep below 1900 calories a day for the weekend then I could hit my target of 1680 daily average calories, but we'll see - life sometimes throws curve balls. Thankfully didn't feel too hungry staying around 1400 calories early in the week, which was good.

My measurements on Monday were not very encouraging with an increase of a centimetre pretty much overall - chest, waist and hips - but I'm not too perturbed by it. I still fit into my jeans (for now). I will just aim to rectify this by the 2nd of November so I have 3 weeks. I think I need to bring back some cardio just to get rid of some of the flab even though I love strength training more. I miss my treadmill because it was easy to just walk while binge watching Masterchef Australia or Great British Bake-Off, but will try some YouTube indoor walking workouts if I can fit them in.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Have a lovely weekend, Nikina! Great job with your workouts and intake! I’ve been trying to scale mine down to about 1600, but have been hovering at 1800-1900 every day. So hard! Hope you’re feeling well. 💖

Thank you dear NN! Hope you're having a great weekend too! I'm finding it quite hard to stick to my calories too lately, sometimes all week is alright and then I go way over on sat and sun so trying not to follow that pattern again this week. I'm feeling much better than a few weeks ago. Hope you're getting some decent sleep this weekend! Keep well! 💕

Good job Nikina70 taking good care of yourself. Do you jog at all? Are you still doing your 16:8?

Hi LCFF! Good to see you back! No, I don't really jog although a couple of years ago I was able to get to what I call a trot doing the saturday parkrun - I did almost 30 that year, but then stopped. Also in summer this year hubby and I would jog around our local rugby field 3 mornings a week - we used to jog up and down the stadium steps too, but we're in a different area temporarily right now so don't want to have to drive to somewhere. We will start to walk or jog regularly again after we've moved and settled down again. Do you jog? I seem to think that you do/did. And no to IF as well. I know it works, but for some reason I just want my bowl of cereal in the morning these days and don't want to wait till noon. Might go back to it in a month or so though. Hope you are well!

I want to get back into a bit of jogging. I walk very fast with a group of girlfriends but jogging feels quite different. I always feel invincible both physically and mentally afterwards. That's a LOT of Park Runs. Good job!! Thank you for asking I am FABULOUS!!
