Nikina70's Journal, 29 May 20

Tracked well this week. Not too bothered by the scale today since it said 65 all week and I'm sure I'll get back there again soon. Daily average calories came to 1700 last week and I did 3 x 60 min workouts this week again. Calories will be much higher this week since I'm not tracking again until Monday. Just taking a bit of an 'end of the month' break and will go back to about 1700 next week starting on Monday.

Did cardio this week and total body with more reps and lower weights with some abs too. I will go back to what I prefer next week, which is strength training, with a leg workout on Monday, upper body on Wed and a total body/cardio/abs split on Thurs/Fri. Really feel hampered by not having heavier weights, but will just have to tough it out for now. I'll hopefully get some new ones soon enough in the new year.

I miss being able to go to gym and do my 3 favorite exercises of deadlifts, bench press and face pulls

I love deadlifts too - particularly Romanian and single leg deadlifts and bench press is great too. I don't have the equipment for a face pull - had to look that up - looks quite hard. Hope you'll be able to go to the gym again soon Darth KittenKat!

RDL's are life 😍😍😍 Facepulls work really small muscles in your back and is an essential exercise to do. Watch the AthleanX on YouTube. Jeff is one of 4 fitness youtubers that I actually trust. The wealth of info that he gives for FREE is insane

I recommend watching Greg Doucette (IFBB pro bodybuilder) on YouTube too, his knowledge on fitness and nutrition has helped me a lot on my journey so far. The information he gives is top notch and he crushes all these myths that regard how to lose fat fast.

Thanks ladies! I've definitely heard of AthleanX before, but not Greg so I've just watched a review he did on MadFit and not sure if I like his ranting style, but he sounds like he knows what he's talking about so have subscribed to both and will be watching some more.
