Today marks a month of me using Kettlebells on a daily basis and my strength is definitely improving
quite quickly, of course there are still plenty of wishy washy muscles on me that need plenty of work in the months ahead. One thing that I have just found out has happened already is that I can actually now do two proper press-ups before collapsing on the mat. A month ago I couldn’t even lift up my body even once with my arms. I think that’s very fair progress for a months effort.

It's half way through the month and my daily average calorie deficit has accidentally crept up to 450 from 350 and pleasingly another small weight loss recorded.

Jogging wise things are also showing progress at the moment I have just started a program called the Maffetone method where I have to run keeping my heart rate below 180 minus my age at all times. It’s slower running to start but the idea is to train your heart to be more effective and then over time your running speed will increase more rapidly than it would otherwise have done. Because of the importance of needing an accurate HR I have bought a sports watch to replace my fitness band and it's much easier to keep a track of my heart rate. If anybody is looking for a sports watch Huawei have some very large discounts at the moment - I paid just £70 for a GT2e which will match to either iPhone or Android system

In garden news - A self seeding Sunflower is looking brilliant and we are getting bored with courgettes and marrows.

Well done Adpully 👏💪 you're doing great on your fitness journey. I had never heard of the Meffatone method before but it makes sense that it would work! Sunflowers are one of my favourite, lovely picture and our tortoise Turbo would love to munch his way through a big marrow 😂🐢❤️
