You have a date in mind that you want the weight off for, try cutting the weight into so much a week until then. You could also try just moving your first meal of the day back as far as you can so that you have less time to eat. I find that once I start eating in a day I keep going so if I can fast for as long as possible - drinking lots of water - I eat less

I manage that on a good day. It's the bad days that do the damage. Only got two more weeks to go!

I agree with minitata.. once I start eating I'm hungry all day 😊

What about the 73lb you already lost? Was that with some willpower and commitment? Or was it by magic? Don't be so hard on yourself, a little bump and even the odd big bump here and there is nothing to get concerned about and nothing to be beating yourself up about with words like disgusted...Look at the long view and realise a 73lb loss is an amazing achievement, so you must be on the right path...Negative feelings in the short term, towards your own efforts, will destroy your long-term efforts if you are not careful to reign them in...because you will start to wonder why you are bothering and start giving up...just get back to it...one day at a time...work on today...remember your past successes and keep tomorrow in mind of course, but work on it when you arrive at it, and do not let the recent past convince you that your overall efforts are of little value or that your are failing, because this is clearly wrong and untrue.

I agree with Misterbee - just think of what you've done. Only 2 weeks to stick to it - well strictly anyway

Jocko you are rather hard on yourself. I understand why but, as Misterbee says, you have done so well. If you are really strict and countdown 14 to 1, you'll get there.

Misterbee's comment is excellent and it's so important - if you beat yourself up, JockoT, it only serves to wear you down more. My 2c/p for what it is worth is take his words to heart - focus less on being disgusted with yourself...focus more on figuring out what's getting in your way. You have achieved SO much, and often (like many others here, myself included) in the face of some genuine obstacles. I noted that your logging seemed more inconsistent as of late - that is a worrying trend and one I hope you can break. Try to get back into the good habits that have taken you SO FAR already, but most of all, don't waste precious life banging your head against the wall. Figure out instead why the wall is there in the first place.

Ditto to all of the above! I'll tell you what was a real eye-opener for me. I've lost about 40 lbs. A couple of weeks ago, I had to carry some cat litter up the stairs, a multi-pack that weighed 38 lbs. I could barely manage it, and it struck me that I used to carry that ON MY BODY every day. Go out and find something that weighs what you've lost, and pick it up. And be proud that you've rid yourself of that. Diet fatigue is a real thing, and it gets to every one of us at one time or another. When I feel it creeping up on me, I give myself permission to splurge. BUT, I set a time limit for it...like, "Today" or "This week". The funny part is, once I've given myself permission, I'm usually back on track before my time limit is done. Allowing and accepting with no regrets or self-recrimination is ever so much more effective then self-flagellation. Carry on.

Lots of good advice and wisdom there. I can surely manage to buckle down for a fortnight. I could dangle by the testicles for a fortnight! (Don't know what would be easier!!) I just need to get on with it and as Real Gone Girl says, I need to log my intake accurately. Just as I did when I was losing steadily. Thanks again guys.

You've been here for all of us so many times, Jocko! We're here for you as well. :)

If you hung by your testicles I bet you wouldn't feel like eating - and think of the money you could make selling tickets!! I used to run a pub and had a customer who, for some reason, everyone used to hit - he was up in court and was sentenced to 3 months (it was that standard of pub) - he told the judge that he could do that 'stood on me head' to which the judge replied 'in that case we'll give you another 3 to get you back on your feet. That is a true story - even the judge seemed to want to hit him lol

Misterbee is right. Jocko you have been just brilliant during this journey. I would skip breakfast and eat lunch and dinner. Do an easy 16:8 IF. You don't have to go all day. If you feel like it you can fast longer. As soon as I eat, I want to eat all day long. I got off the fasting myself and it is a real trial getting back in the groove. As far as hanging by your testicles ... you have a 2nd honeymoon coming up ... I doubt you want to damage those before the wedding. LOL!

Jocko, I hear your diet fatigue and waffling. I've been wandering and fluctuating too. It's a little bit like singing a song with many stanzas, you sometimes just have to wait for the verse to come around again, so that you can join in again. You'll get back on it when the time is right.

Lots of great comments already Jocko...I just want you to know you're not alone in this...it is sometimes easy but more often hard to keep on a healthy path. I am pretty sure most of us here have felt the same way as you at one time or another. Dig in, limit the rebound, then go kick some @ss like you've done before. Take care mate!!

Hey Jocko.. great advice here.. we've all been there, maybe I've been there more often than most! Buckle down for 2 weeks and record everything !! I mean Everything!! Look how far you've come already. 2 weeks is nothing in comparison. You CAN and WILL do it !

Agreeing with Mr B and RGG. Come on, you can do this for two weeks! After that, have a think about what has been stopping you the past while.
