I was disappointed not to lose even 100g this morning, and then I got to thinking:
On Tuesday afternoon at the hospital I got very, very stressed; which would raise my Cortisol level (fight or flight hormone), which in turn would raise my insulin resistance. As a type 2 diabetic I know that I have fairly high insulin resistance - 'cos that's what type 2 diabetes is. Insulin, in turn, is a fat storage hormone and to store the fat adds lots of water. This, and the fact that I had bacon yesterday, could be why my weight remained steady, although I'd eaten correctly and drank a good 3 litres of water, plus 3 mugs of coffee with milk, and 3 herbal teas.
I've now had 3 tablespoons of unsweetened peanut butter with seeds and 1 tablespoon of chia seeds for breakfast, and I'll keep my eating in an 8 hour period - which is what I did yesterday.
I read that taking apple cider vinegar before bed is a good way of keeping insulin low overnight so I started that yesterday - I have 2 tablespoons with my evening tablets and I added 2 tablespoons to my bedtime tablets - in water, of course.
