bowd65's Journal, 16 Jan 17

Well I had a very busy weekend, but really enjoyed myself.

So now back to reality and back to working for a living! I think my dog Mishka knows, she came on the bed in the early hours and she hasn't done that for weeks! Still I am only in 3 days this week as it's phase return and I am not in til 12.15, a late shift, Wish me luck! I am going back to weighing in on Friday's.

Have a great week everyone!

Yes, I think Mishka knows. Our pets pick up signals easily. I think they secretly understand our language. My cat always comes and sits in the room if I'm talking to hubby. I swear he's listening to our conversation! Anyway good luck for your first day back. I hope you won't feel exhausted by the time you get home. Have a good day 🙂

Oh yes, all the very best and more Bowd. A phased return is great. You will be fine and soon get back into the swing of it. But be good to yourself and try not to overdo things. Rest when you need to. 🌼🌷

You will back in the groove in no time. Our furbabies know the signs of things to come.

Thanks all for your support. I was very apprehensive this morning. I had decided to walk to work which is about 1.5 miles. I set out at 11.30 and just kept a decent pace. It took me 25 minutes from my door to the hospital doors. The walk made me feel slightly better. Everyone was brilliant and i had plenty of hugs. I got through my first shift after 8 months and i am proud of that! 🤗

Ah was just thinking about you and the end of your first day. What a great idea to walk to work, it must have set you up and cleared your thoughts for the day ahead.🌟 When I was working I used to lead staff meetings on dealing with the stress of teaching... not easy. Our workplaces are very complex and intense environments. Well done. This was a great way of dealing with it .. a stress reliever .. Brilliant first day and tomorrow will be another 🌟🌟🌟

Yes Mrs M, nursing and teaching can be quite stressful. I am off tomorrow back in on an early shift Wednesday which is the ward round and so a busy shift it will be 😐 Then i am in on Saturday and the first week done!

Glad it went OK, Bowd, and that everyone was pleased to see you. The walk sounds like a great idea. Private time, and a healthy time, to set you up. Best wishes for the rest of the week.

Well done, Debbie! You will soon feel as though you have never been away, unfortunately! Although obviously a return to work also means an official return to health. But I think you've been enjoying your time off lately. You certainly made the most of it 😀
