I just need to vent a little here - I hope you'll excuse me.
I've been trying to make up meals for Shirley as we'll be out most of the week and the rest of the time I'll probably be resting. So far so good. The flies have been driving me crazy. Tony doesn't agree with killing anything as 'they all have their place in the eco-system'. So I've had citronella candles lit and light fan that wafts them away - and there's hundreds of them. The cat's food spend most of its time with a cover on - we remove it for him to eat, but you know what cat's are like - 2 bites now and walk away - five minutes later he wants another 2 bites. I keep the kitchen as clean as I can, but Tony leaves things lying out - plates for the dishwasher and such.
Okay vent over. Deep breath and on we go.

I don't kill anything either. Get some Venus fly traps and let them do the work for you 😁

Flies are a bloody nightmare here too. I hate them. Sorry everyone but I’ve resorted to good, old-fashioned fly paper in my kitchen. Chin up, Mini! It’ll soon be cold and they’ll be gone 👍🏻🤗

I've just bought 2 venus fly traps from 2 different suppliers. I'm going to enjoy feeding them!
